1 Day Introduction to Holiday Rep

Your students training day is made up of practical sessions including group work, presentation skills, and learn about all aspects of what being a holiday rep is all about. It is your chance for your students to talk to holiday reps and learn about the job and answer all the questions they have. The training day is conducted in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, which means not only will they learn, but your day will be an enjoyable one.

What is included in the day

We can tailor make the holiday rep day to your students needs.  We can focus on the role of a holiday rep and what the job entails to enhance their travel and tourism course.  Or we can focus on recruitment helping to fully prepare and give your your students confidence in applying and attending their holiday rep interview day.  If you feel that both of these aspects will benefit your students this can also be done.  What is covered on the day is up to you.

Recruitment

How a holiday rep interview is structured
Your students will understand exactly how a holiday rep interview is structured for all types of rep jobs including 18 to 30 club reps. We will explain what happens from start to finish and what the tour company recruitment teams are looking for.

Creating the best first Impressions
Your students will learn how to make the best possible 1st impression at their interview and understand why this is so important.

Preparing for holiday rep interview tests
Your students can experience what it's like completing a typical test paper used by tour operators today. We will show them all the information they need to know with guidance from our trainers.

Completing tour operator application forms
We will point out the areas tour operators are most interested in when reading through application forms. Using this information when completing application forms will help your students stand out amongst the rest.

Tour operator interview group work
Group work is a vital part of a tour operators interview, your students will be trained on how to act and what to say. Role plays and team exercises on the day will give them an excellent chance to put this into practice.

Presenting to a group of people
Most tour operators will require applicants to prepare and conduct a presentation during their interview. This session will guide your students on how to talk and present themselves clearly without putting them in any embarrassing situations.

Interviews 2 on 1 Stage
The 2 on 1 stage of a holiday rep interview is the most feared, but we will give your student an insight into the kinds of questions they will be asked and what answers to give.

We will explain the different types of paperwork holiday reps need to complete and why.

A week in the life of a holiday rep A week in the life of a holiday rep
A behind the scenes look of what duties are involved whilst working as a holiday rep, working hours, salaries and the types of questions customers ask. We cover all types of rep jobs in this session including 18 to 30, family, children's, transfer repping and more.

Basic selling skills
We will provide your students with simple selling techniques. Useful for whilst working as a rep and selling the tour operators products and services.

Personal presentation Personal presentation
Holiday reps are the face of the tour operator. We will explain the image tour companies are looking for and tips on what to wear if your students attend an interview.
